because of using this software, on the other hand, it's all harmless

"The future of gaming can be summed up in two words -- Pong and Joust"
This brilliant comment by Otter on rec.games.video.classic provoked this
game experiment. Pong with a "Flap"
button. Now featuring Player vs Computer and Computer vs
Computer.
Also available:
JoustPong for PalmPilot PocketC
(Windows version requires VBRUN300.DLL, available at the bottom of this page but may be
on your system already.)
A simple graphical demo, 3D emerging from simple 2D behaviors.
Should be familiar to people who have played the strategy game
portion of "Star Control". For java coders, it's also a simple
example of double buffering (source code included)
A classic-style 1-on-1 game in the tradition of Artillery Duel and
Lunar Lander. Its a full game, but still in it's early stages.
(Requires VBRUN300.DLL, available at the bottom of this page but may be
on your system already.)
A drag-and-drop buttonbar sound player for Windows. Have a plethora
of .WAV sound files available at the click of a mouse.
Yahoo has links to
Bunches of .WAV archives. (Requires VBRUN300.DLL, available at the bottom of this page but may be
on your system already.)
(The animated gif is mine as well) this is it-- I hope to release it in a
more distributable form soon. Lets you decide what gifs to put in your tank, and
can even make up the mirror image of the gif if you ask it to...
Before there was Tamagotchi or Gigapet, there was-- Gargoyle.
A darlin' little gargoyle flaps its happy way in its own window.
It has no icon when it runs, because in Windows 3.1 it acts as "icon art"-- an artform lost with
the advent of the Windows 95 taskbar. I've misplaced the source code, preventing me from
fixing an odd sizing bug it has in certain screen resolutions.
(Requires VBRUN300.DLL, available at the bottom of this page but may be
on your system already.)
nakes
for Windows
An exercise in aesthetic movement... flying boxsnakes zoom across their world, and will
follow the mouse pointer when you press the button. Another VB "golden oldie" (as in
'I can't find the source code')
(Requires VBRUN300.DLL, available at the bottom of this page but may be
on your system already.)
The running Alien Bill and flying rocket as Windows 95 cursors.
I find them especially good as the "Busy" and the "Working in
Background" cursor, respectively.
A file (that you probably already have in your \Windows\System directory) needed to run the Windows programs
on this page. If you need to download it, put it in your \Windows\System\ directory- that way you only need to install it once for all programs.
