BMP2Hex - An Alien Bill Production (for Win3.1 and Greater) BMP2HEX IS E-MAIL-ME-WARE: IF YOU USE IT, PLEASE SEND E-MAIL TO kisrael@alienbill.com OVERVIEW: BMP2Hex is a small but easy to use tool for a small but fun to use language for a small but wonderful device. It converts standard Windows .BMP files into the corresponding "string bits" parameter of the "bitmap()" function of "PocketC" (as of version 0.99) for the PalmPilot. RECOMENDED USAGE: 1. Run the program and the PalmPilot Desktop 2. Drag and Drop a Windows ".BMP" anywhere in the program window. (Make sure the BMP2Hex image window is not obscure by any other program window.) The program will generate and display the appropriate string. 3. Copy the string from the text and window and paste it into a memo in the PalmPilot Desktop 4. When you HotSync, the string will be waiting for you. KNOWN ISSUES: If there is another program window in front of the BMP2Hex Bitmap display, the covered portions of the BMP will be read in as "Black" in the generated hex string. If the BMP is big, it may take a while and the text window may appear garbled. Everything should still work, however, including cutting-and-pasting.
